Oh, Mappy Day! is a celebration of all things spatial. It’s free and open to the public. Past events were held in Spring 2025 and Spring 2026. Check back for updates about future events!

Events from 4pm-6pm will be held in the Morrill Science Center, Room 225. We’ll move to the Commonwealth Restaurant for Mappy Hour.

4:00pm – Beyond Shapefiles: Teaching Reproducible Geospatial Workflows with FME and SQL, with Sasha Stepanov

4:30pm – Silly Map Competition with Ava Healy – submit your silliest map for a chance to win glory and honor!

5:00pm: Keynote talk by Rachel Franklin (Executive Director, Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard University)

6:00pm to 7:30pm: Mappy Hour at the Commonwealth Restaurant, Worcester Commons
